Miniature Gardens
Hi there,
Room 2 students will be bringing their beautiful miniature gardens/farms home on Thursday 27th October 2016 (the day after Pet Day). Please make suitable arrangements if you have any concerns about getting your miniature garden home safely. I know the children are very excited about taking their work home, however are a little concerned the ride might wreck their hard work.
Thanks,
Mrs Howie

Cross Country
Have a read of some of the fabulous writing we did about cross-country with Mrs Simpson on Tuesday!
Cross-Country
On the most exciting day of the
year, I said ‘Wow! Some people have already done a whole lap.’ It was cross
country. Although I wasn’t a fan of running, because I have asthma and running
just isn’t my kind of thing. At least I gave it a try, but I came 20th.
I actually felt proud of myself.

Cross Country
Last Friday was
the amazing cross country. We did cross country. It was exhausting. All the
parents were there, clapping and clapping. I got so tired I felt like I was
going to faint, but I said to my brain, ‘Stop! Keep running.’ At the end, I
charged. Yay! I was so proud of myself.

Cross Country
Last Friday
was the awesome cross country. When we were running up the hill, parents were
cheering and clapping. On our second lap I was exhausted and sweating. When we
saw the swamp it was wet and muddy. There was a dead cow in the swamp and when
we went in it I nearly fell in. I got my shoes muddy.

Country
Yay! Today is the day. Cross country! “On your marks,
get set, go”, said Mrs Simpson. Off we go through thistles everywhere. The bog is
horrible. We got through there. The finish line. Done! Good, I came 5th.

Pet Day Art - Miniature Farms and Gardens
PET DAY ART DISPLAY
Dear Parents, Caregivers and
Whānau,
On Tuesday 25th
October (week 3), Room 2 will spend the afternoon creating their own miniature
farms/gardens. I encourage students to have a good think about their own
creations and start collecting any items they wish to include. The school will
not be providing any items, except sand, that will go towards this, so
everything your child needs to create his/her masterpiece will need to come
from home, including the base (meat tray recommended). The miniature
farms/gardens, will be on display in the hall on Pet Day, which is Wednesday 26th
October.
Please feel free to contact me if
you have any questions.
Please keep all items at home until Tuesday 25th October.
Kind Regards,
Cara Howie
