Why is lightening in storms?
Thor and Spider-man were battling. Thor threw lightening at Spider-man. Spider-man dodges the lightening and it hits Earth.
That is why lightening is in a storm.

How is there lightening in a storm?
Lightening is yellow, it is made from clouds bashing together. They bash together because they are too heavy and full of water. The clouds turn black, dark ad grey.
